Bactrim and Clostridioides difficile (C. diff) may cause diarrhea, but not everyone experiences diarrhea after a course of treatment.
diff) are both an antibiotic that belongs to the tetracycline class of drugs. They are used to treat a variety of infections, including skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, and some sexually transmitted infections.
In clinical trials, C. diff was effective in treating infections caused by susceptible strains of bacteria, including Haemophilus influenzae, Staphylococcus aureus, and Streptococcus pneumoniae. While C. diff may cause diarrhea, it can also cause other gastrointestinal side effects, such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
C. diff is a rare but serious infection that may cause symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea, and a burning sensation in the abdomen or rectum. These symptoms are usually mild and are reversible upon discontinuation of the drug. However, if they persist or worsen, it is important to consult a doctor.
diff) can cause serious side effects, including a host of gastrointestinal and respiratory infections, including diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and a small amount of blood in the stool.
diff) are both broad-spectrum antibiotics used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. diff is a broad-spectrum drug that works by killing the bacteria responsible for your infection.
diff) is a type of antibiotic that is effective against a wide variety of bacteria, including both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. The drugs that treat infections are called sulfonamides and may be prescribed to treat urinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections, and certain types of skin and soft tissue infections.
While Bactrim and Clostridioides difficile (C. diff) may cause diarrhea, they do not cause an immune response to bacterial cells. If you have diarrhea that is not controlled by a drug, you should contact your doctor to see if a course of antibiotics may be necessary.

Bactrim, also known as the sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim combination tablet, is used to treat various infections, such as respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and certain sexually transmitted infections (including gonorrhea, syphilis, and chlamydia). Bactrim has been shown to reduce symptoms and the severity of infection.
Take Bactrim exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider. Swallow the tablets with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the tablets.
Some common side effects of Bactrim include:
If you experience any severe or persistent side effects, it is important to contact your doctor immediately.
Before taking Bactrim, it is important to tell your doctor if you have liver disease or asthma. It is also important to tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, liver disease, diabetes, a history of ulcers, or a history of seizures. If you are taking medication for a blood clot, it may cause blood to clot to be lessened or become blocked. This could be a sign of a more serious condition.
It is important to tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before starting this medication. The safety of using Bactrim during pregnancy has not been established. This is because there is no evidence that Bactrim passes into your milk. Bactrim may harm an infant if it is taken during breastfeeding. If you are planning to become pregnant, it is important to call your doctor right away.
Like all medications, Bactrim may cause side effects. Although rare, some of the side effects of Bactrim are more severe or last longer than others. These side effects may include:

I’ve been on Bactrim for nearly a year now, and it has helped with my chronic cough. It’s the same drug that I’ve been using for years to help with my UTI symptoms. My regular doctor prescribed it, and now I’m getting a prescription, and I am struggling to find anything at all.
This is the first time I’ve experienced any of the side effects of the medication, including:
I’m really sorry to hear about your struggles. The last thing I want is to become a household name and have to run away from my PCP. I’m so grateful that you have taken Bactrim and decided to quit smoking. I don’t smoke, and I’m not quitting because I think it’s just a drug.
I’ve been using it for about two years now, and my symptoms have been improving. I’ve been able to sleep, eat well, stay hydrated, and feel less bloated. I’ve been getting better at being active and running. I still miss the old days when I would have been able to walk. I don’t smoke and am a little bit depressed about it.
I’ve started to see some of my friends and family to help me through this. I can feel a little better and it’s helping my anxiety and depression. I am a very healthy person, but I still miss being able to walk and I still feel like I’m not ready to go back to that. I also think I might need to do things differently to make sure that I can get enough of the medication.
I am so sorry to hear about your struggles, but I don’t want to let you down and I hope you can find anything you can do to help.

Thank you for your quick post about your symptoms! I’ve been on Bactrim for over 10 years and have been taking the drug for about 2-3 years now. My cough is just beginning, and I am now feeling much better.
I feel more and more bloated, but the problem is I don’t really have to pee or eat anything. I’ve been able to sleep better at night and go to the bathroom more times than I could otherwise.
I think that’s the best thing to do now. It’s just a good thing for me.
I’ve been taking the drug for more than 10 years and it is making me feel better. My symptoms have been getting worse and worse, but I don’t really have to go out to the pharmacy and have a regular doctor’s appointment. I’ve tried taking it every day, and I’m not taking it anymore. I’ve been having to go to the bathroom every day since the last month. It’s a really bad feeling, but it’s getting better. I’m going to try everything to get better before I stop taking the drug. I’m going to try and get off the drug because it’s a drug that needs to be taken every day, and I’m really hoping that I can get my symptoms back before it’s too late.
I’m so sorry for your loss.

I took Bactrim for 6 years and it helped. I still have a mild cough, but I am feeling better now.
The first time I tried taking Bactrim, I was told that my doctor had said that it would not work for me. I did have a couple of questions, and I just wondered if it would work for you. I also wondered if it would make sense to take it and make sure I was feeling better.
I think my problem is that I have a pretty good understanding of my body and I have a great ability to balance my food. I can eat everything, but it is a little bit of an issue, but I am very happy with the results and the way it works.
